How Mobile Websites Can Increase Your Company’s Sales

Traditional mobile functions can be integrated with mobile websites.

Increasing brand awareness is the primary use of mobile websites. If your online campaign is effective in drawing people closer to your products and services, making a sale is sure to follow. Sadly, a lot of entrepreneurs remain doubtful on whether or not the development of mobile websites is really necessary when a regular website is already in place. What those in doubt fail to see is how unoptimized sites cannot reap the full benefits that accompany the use of different mobile platforms, such as smartphones and tablets.

Contact Detail Integration

Mobile websites are equipped with a facility that enables users to download the company’s contact information, such as telephone, mobile, and fax numbers and email addresses, directly to the device’s phonebook. Contact information can also include website URLs and store location details. Customers will have all the info they need in order to establish communications with your company—either virtually or in person.

Click-to-Call/Text/Email Functionality

Unlike regular websites that are accessed on computers, mobile websites can actually integrate your device’s traditional communication functions in a very efficient manner. Though computers are also capable of calling and texting, they aren’t exactly the most popular choice when you’re on the go. Surfing the net and using the click-to-call/text/email functions will enable customers to communicate with you while they’re on the go.

Localized Search Results

Mobile internet use has a way of determining where the user is geographically through GPS technology and satellite locators. And because the internet can determine where you are, whatever you type in the search engine box will generate localized results comprised of relevant data within your area. If you’re looking for Japanese restaurants and you’re currently in Pasadena, the search results will prioritize websites of restaurants that are in or close to Pasadena. This facility can and will enable people who are closest to you locate you.

The mobile web’s exponential growth, no matter how optimistic the projection, is rather understated. Once more and more people are enlightened on the multiple benefits that regular websites and platforms simply cannot deliver, everyone will be running up and down the street, frantic to get their own mobile websites. Mobile devices are the first thing people check upon waking up, and you should know how important it is to be a part of this daily phenomenon. Do not allow your company to miss out any further on the great opportunities and advantages of owning a mobile website.

Why Is Having a Mobile Website So Important?

Samples of mobile websites.

Much debate has been going on about whether or not mobile websites are necessary. The debate ends here and now. YES, THEY ARE! Now that that’s settled, it’s time to move on to answering the question of WHY they are necessary. Most of the people who are pressured with making the decision to get themselves a mobile website are those who actually depend on the Internet to generate revenues. This doesn’t sound congruent at all as they should be the ones who are first to run after innovations such as this, no questions asked. This post will enlighten you as to why mobile websites may be just exactly what your business needs to give it that missing advantage.

Get a targeted audience

Because mobile websites are basically accessed using mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, it follows that every person who uses the Internet via this mode has a certain degree of likelihood to come across your site. What’s great about mobile browsing—that very few people are aware of—is its ability to generate location-specific results based on where the Internet determines your position to be. Search engines like Google have a way “geo-locating” you based on the information transmitted through your mobile Internet use. Therefore, if you’re in the car business and someone from your locality enters “car” (or something relevant) into the search engine, there’s a big possibility for your site to rank highly in the results page.

Faster loading and navigation

One of the things people hate the most is waiting, and this is risky business for the online arena. Making a person wait too long for your page to load will earn you the outcome of clicking that [X] button at the top right portion of the browser. And if your website does take quite long to load on a computer, just think about how many times multiplied it will take on a mobile device. Having a mobile website saves you from this distress as it is designed to load faster and allows you to navigate through the page much easier as compared to accessing unoptimized sites.

More cost-effective than apps

When you hear or read something that tells you how the right way to go mobile is through making personalized apps for your business, don’t believe it. That’s a marketing scheme. Yes, apps are quite handy and they have their own plusses as well. But, for starters, you should really focus on making optimizing your websites for mobile access. Making an app will require you to develop one for each individual platform: Windows, Symbian, Android, iOS, and Blackberry. And consider this, not everyone can and will install your app into their phones if they won’t be using it frequently—unless yours is for a social networking site.

Significant studies have found out that almost all mobile phone users depend on browsers to surf the net because this enables them to open multiple tabs and load various pages at the same time. Going for a mobile website will only require you to spend once for its development without having to consider the different platforms each mobile phone is using.

Why Should My Company Go Mobile?

Turn your regular company website into an optimized mobile site.

“Why should my company go mobile?”

A question asked by the hoard of people caught between making the decision to embrace innovation and waiting for more evidence to either prove or disprove the latest technological shift. If you’re one of them, then you’re probably looking in all the wrong places. Go online, browse the internet, look your business up—using your mobile device.

Personal, social, or economical, no matter what your individual reasons are, all online efforts basically boil down to one primary thing: PROMOTION. Whether you are trying to promote a personality, a cause, an event, or (most commonly) a business, you should definitely add “Go Mobile” to your to-do list—if you still haven’t done it yet.

Here are two important facts that would motivate you to make that decision right now—the decision to go mobile, that is. You’ll be amazed by how little it takes to get you moving towards the right direction.

There are 2.3 billion internet users across the globe.

“The demand for the World Wide Web is greater than a glass of cool lemonade on a hot summer’s day.”

Give this statement another year and all traces of doubt will be wiped away. In a world of over 7 billion people, it only took the Internet around 10 years to get 2.3 billion on them online. And where are the rest? They are on their way. A billion of the present users are actually from Asia where tech giants like China and Japan are. This means that, as little as your business is or as unnoticeable as you are in person, you have at your fingertips the power to communicate with 2.3 billion people in just one sitting.

Mobile devices are selling faster than computers.

Everywhere you turn, there’s bound to be a person with a mobile device that has internet connectivity. And this person doesn’t solely belong to the working class. Oh, no. Purposive mobile use (the kind you want to target) starts at 5 years old and stretches all the way up, even when the fingers aren’t working anymore—think Steven Hawking. Not everyone will need to invest on a computer and not everyone will have to be clicking at their keyboards every minute. In a household of five, one computer is enough while everyone has a trusty handheld. That’s how the world works nowadays.

Why then should you go mobile?

The answer is simple. That’s where all the people are. If a certain percentage of users cannot find you online using their mobile devices, then all your online marketing efforts are considered nil. This is a killer for those who depend on the Internet for a living. Anyone who has anything to sell goes to where the customers are, and this post has just told where exactly to find them.

Five Reasons Why You Need a Mobile Site

Regular Website VS Mobile Site

Studies show that it’s only a matter of time before mobile technology dominates the way the world uses the Internet. Before there were smartphones, people rushed off to buy computers. And the smaller that those things got, the more accessible they became. Today, smartphones are dominating the Internet scene. Even children have their own smartphones now. It’s the most convenient way to access that net while you’re on the go and have very minor hardware needs. There are ever more sophisticated tablets that are capable of performing complicated and heavy functions, such as photo editing, graphic designing, and video making.

It’s because of this fast-paced transition that you will need to create your own mobile site, especially if you rely on the internet to generate revenue for a living. Though this technological shift is yet to realize half of its potential, the more projective thinkers are moving ahead and claiming front row seats to this evolution. There are a lot of benefits you can reap from having a mobile site. Here are just few of the reasons why you should also enter the race before everyone decides to:

1.  The mobile craze is escalating.

Mobile use is rising to exponential levels. The projective studies done in order to measure the progress of this phenomenon might even be underestimated. Everyone is looking for fast and speedy access to the Internet without having to bother themselves with the bulky baggage of laptops and notebooks. Smartphones and tablets are what are in for those who spend more time doing minimal tasks, like reading, writing, and surfing the net.

2. The frontliners are moving.

You can determine the beginning of a trend or innovation by following on the recent movements of the frontliners in the industry. Just like the shift to Android operating systems by a lot of major companies and the gradually slimming feature of most handhelds, the technology that goes into maximizing internet use in mobile devices is pre-empting the building demand of the future. Mobile gadgets are selling like hotcakes, and you should see this as an indicator of the virtual shift that’s starting to happen.

3. Networking is made easier.

Having a mobile site will make it easier for customers to contact you. Technology has made a way for handhelds to easily synchronize the contact details of the sites they are visiting to the phone’s memory. This paves the way for users to contact you easily because they have a reference to your office no., mobile no., website, and address right in their very phones.

4. Unoptimized websites are less functional on mobile.

You can see for yourself how websites are reduced to something close to useless when they are accessed through mobile devices. The display is cluttered, pictures are missing, buttons aren’t responding, and a lot more disappointments that unoptimized websites bring.

5. One day, it’s not going to be optional.

Don’t wait for the time when everyone else has reaped the rewards of owning a mobile site before you get started on your own. Studies, statistics, and technology have already foreseen the taking over of mobile devices of around half of the world’s Internet usage in the next couple of years. Look for a company or independent mobile site developer to lead you through the process of establishing a niche for yourself in the mobile web arena.

What are the Benefits of Mobile Marketing?

Mobile websites (right) have a more user-friendly interface than regular websites (left).

Mobile marketing has climbed the advertising ladder and landed over the traditional and conventional types. Nowadays, large companies rarely spend as much money as they did in the past on print and post materials. With people constantly on the go, it would be hard to gain even a few seconds of their time to look at promotional materials and other advertising strategies. It is now your responsibility to keep up with them.

A lot of businesses are thinking about how they are going to attract the consumers’ attention while minimizing the costs of promotion. Mobile marketing is the solution to that dilemma. Almost every person whose attention you want to badly attract carries a handheld, and that is what you’re going to use in order to bring your products and services closer to them, with the use of mobile websites and whatnot. Mobile marketing is a proven advertising strategy that a lot of businesses underestimate.  Here are the most important benefits that you can get by employing this marketing tool:

1. Real-time results

Once you send your mobile campaigns, receivers with their phones on will instantly be able to receive and view them. Those who put their cellphones to flight mode will still be able to receive them upon registering to the network. You are guaranteed that your efforts are getting across to the consumer population you are trying to penetrate.

2. Existing reference

Paper and leaflets are usually thrown away because they tend to be rather bulky. With mobile marketing, consumers who receive your ads have them stored in their handhelds unless deleted. This makes it possible for them to refer to your ad when the need arises or when they weren’t able to get a good look the first time.

3. Easier word-of-mouth

Mobile users who receive your advertisements on their phones are capable of sharing the news to others when they feel the need to. For example, if the recipient knows someone whom the ad will be particularly useful to, he or she can simply forward the electronic post to that person. This gives so much mileage to your advertising efforts without the added costs.

4. Higher response rates

Mobile marketing efforts generate more responses and turn-outs compared to other forms of advertising, such as snail mail and posters. In surveys, a great percentage of attendees said to have been informed of the event or activity through the ads sent to their mobile phones. Imagine what the turn-out would be without this particular marketing method.

Mobile users who receive marketing messages and posts have the option to directly reply to the sender and inquire about further details about the event in just one sitting. Your potential customers wouldn’t have to go call you on the phone or send you a letter. They can simply respond to you without the extra hassle of trying to get in touch with you. Establishing effective communication is always a priority, and mobile marketing offers you just that—and lots more.
